The New York Seventh Regiment of National Guard was built by the First volunteer militia to respond to President Abraham Lincoln’s “Call for Troops” in 1861. The esteemed members of this Regiment included the “Gilded Age Families” of the city who employed the best designers of the time to complete. This steel and copper Handrail was designed to welcome guest and members with its effortless, sweeping, copper top rail and graceful draping ADA Handrail. The copper was aged using traditional hot patina.
