343 Casa Canal

AAM performed the removals of all existing cast-iron arched vault lights from the building. The structure is an arched vault light assembly system. The original material is cast-iron. AAM performed a survey of all original components and concluded that all components would not be able to be restored and reused. After many discussions it was decided to make new patterns, order new glass, and make new arched vault lights in cast aluminum. New patterns had to be created to match the original vault lights exactly. AAM will produce arched vault lights with glass grouted in the honeycomb profiles. AAM is to complete the finishing on all replicated components in a three-part Tnemec paint system. AAM is to install the new cast aluminum arched vault light assembly. Per Landmarks the structure is to match the originals exactly, except in new arched cast aluminum panels.
