Camie Mess
Camie Mess is a Historic Preservationist and Project Manager for Allen Architectural Metals. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in History from Purdue University where she played Division 1 Golf. She then moved to Rome, Italy for two and a half years working on the Studies Collection at the American Academy, and on several archaeological sites, such as the Mausoleum of Augustus and the ancient city of Veio. After Rome, Camie returned stateside to obtain her Master of Architectural History and Certificate in Historic Preservation from the University of Virginia. After graduating, Camie had roles including Assistant Historic Preservation for the City of Charlottesville, and an Operations and System Administrator for a technology firm. Throughout this time, she contracted with Allen Architectural Metals on jobs like the US Capitol Dome Renovation and 1785 Massachusetts Ave, before being hired on fulltime in September 2022.
